Import Data, Copy Data from Excel to R, Both .csv and .txt Formats: (R Tutorial 1.3)

 

In this video you will learn how to import data or copy data from excel (or other spreadsheets) into R using both comma-separated values and tab-delimited text file. Even though in this video we only show the steps for excel, but it can be applied to importing data from other spreadsheet applications into R as well.

Here, we will show you how to use "read.csv", "read.delim" and "read.table" commands to import data into R and the "file.choose", "header", and "sep" arguments to select the file, specify whether the data file has headers, and whether the values in our dataset are separated using commas respectively.
