A bit about us...

At Marinstatslectures, we are doing our best to put together the most reliable and free online tutorials in statistics, data science and working with R programming Software. These video tutorials are created by Mike Marin (B.Sc., B.A., MSc.) and his partner in crime, Ladan Hamadani (B.Sc., B.A., MPH). Initially made for Mike's Master's and PhD students at the University of British Columbia (UBC), these lectures are now available to everyone. Mike's classes are extremely popular at UBC and there is always a waitlist for several of his courses. Here you can access Mike's teaching material and video lectures for free thanks to the platform provided by YouTube! 

Mike is a passionate developer of web-based teaching & learning material. He Loves teaching, probability, and games of chance. An Ex-blackjack & poker dealer and a fantasy football champion! Among other awards and recognitions, in 2017 Mike won UBC Killam Teaching prize for demonstrating sustained teaching excellence over a period of 10 years or more!
